Ben Slade.In 2001 Benjamin Slade gained a scholarship to attend The Canberra School of Music at the Australian National University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Music performance degree. Majoring in flute, he studied under Virginia Taylor and Vernon Hill. In 2002 Benjamin was the winner of a three-tiered Wesley Music Scholarship for Flute, Piano and Vocal Studies. 2005 left Benjamin with a second Bachelor of Music degree in Voice performance under the tutorage of Steven Bennett and Celina Lindsley. Benjamin continued his vocal studies and piano at the ‘Hanns Eisler’ Academy of Music in Berlin, Germany. During his time in Germany he attended master classes with world renowned teachers and toured with the East European Song Festival.
In 2008, Benjamin continued his studies D.I.T Conservatory of Music and Drama in Dublin. Since 2010 Benjamin has been a part of the Glyndebourne Festival Opera Chorus.Benjamin has performed with various international Opera companies, orchestras, and community groups. His recent roles include: Dottore in Verdi’s La Traviata with Lyric Opera Productions; Sarastro & Der Sprecher, in Mozarts’ Die Zauberflöte with DIT;Spinelloccio & Il Notaio in Puccinis’ Gianni Schicchi, Frank, in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus and The Armchair in Ravel’s L'Enfant et les Sortileges, all for George Limp Opera Company. |
